Even before elementary school, I have done sewing circuit projects, which I still find fascinating until today. I have participate in programs called “Code for Kids” and “Young Maker in Korea,” where you learn about combining hardware with computer programming.
I have been continuing on my project called Tech D.I.Y since I was young. I have combined physical computing with programming to introduce the field of technology to women and kids. In the process, I have also collaborated with my friend Sierra, and presented my works in conferences, forums, salons and Maker Faires.
I initiated a team project with my friend Sierra called Silvrim Mate, where we made and shared board games out of sewing circuits and programming at Maker Faire.
All of my project which I have done in Young Maker Project is all based off of my own ideas, helping me develop on my problem solving abilities and creativeness.
No matter how difficult a task I encounter during a project, I never give up until I finish it.
Even besides Tech D.I.Y, Silvrim Mate, origami lighting, miniature home and more,
I also have interests in:
Back in South Korea, I was a member of the school ensemble and an official city choir of Young-San Gu. I was also in a theater production in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as Grandpa Joe, the tritagonist.
Even though I have never received proper education in visual arts before, I am extremely dedicated into my work, and I have been going to the Arts Students League of NY at least once a week to draw croquis.
I have the international certificate for the fourth level in figure-skating, and since last year, I have joined the Flying Dolphins Swim Team and participated in two Badger swim meets.
