Maker.

Physical Computing.

Even before elementary school, I have done sewing circuit projects, which I still find fascinating until today. I have participate in programs called “Code for Kids” and “Young Maker in Korea,” where you learn about combining hardware with computer programming.

Programming.

I have been continuing on my project called Tech D.I.Y since I was young. I have combined physical computing with programming to introduce the field of technology to women and kids. In the process, I have also collaborated with my friend Sierra, and presented my works in conferences, forums, salons and Maker Faires.

Collaboation

I initiated a team project with my friend Sierra called Silvrim Mate, where we made and shared board games out of sewing circuits and programming at Maker Faire.

Creativeness

All of my project which I have done in Young Maker Project is all based off of my own ideas, helping me develop on my problem solving abilities and creativeness.

03.

Persistence

No matter how difficult a task I encounter during a project, I never give up until I finish it.

Even besides Tech D.I.Y, Silvrim Mate, origami lighting, miniature home and more,

I also have interests in:

Back in South Korea, I was a member of the school ensemble and an official city choir of Young-San Gu. I was also in a theater production in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as Grandpa Joe, the tritagonist.

Visual Arts.

Even though I have never received proper education in visual arts before, I am extremely dedicated into my work, and I have been going to the Arts Students League of NY at least once a week to draw croquis.

Sports.

I have the international certificate for the fourth level in figure-skating, and since last year, I have joined the Flying Dolphins Swim Team and participated in two Badger swim meets.
