Hannah Personal Website – Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program

Share:

I practiced CSS and HTML by creating a personal website through GCC.

In this project, I learned how to create my very own multi-page personal website using HTML and CSS, the fundamental building blocks and languages of the web. My website includes two pages: a home page and a portfolio page to show off my projects.

The first half of this project focused on HTML. I learned how to use HTML tags to add elements or content like text, images, and a navigation bar to your website. In part four I learned about accessibility on the web, then add alt-text to images so I can support visitors that use screen readers. In parts five through eight, I learned how to use CSS to style individual elements like images and text, as well as groups of elements to control the layout and navigation bar. Finally, I learned how to test and debug my project using developer tools.

Stay In Touch.
