I tutored two students, Tina and Dain, during five 2 hour long classes over the summer of 2022. The goal was to teach them HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding to make a personal website, building a skill that would allow them to continuously improve their own websites even after the tutoring ends. I used the skills I learned through the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program I attended earlier in the summer break.
On each of their websites, they made separate pages that would show their hobbies, projects, personalities, etc. There is also a page dedicated to this tutoring session that summarizes what they have programmed each week.
For the last day, we took time to prepare for a showcase that summarized the process they have gone through, how to improve their project in the future and what they had the most time struggling with.
